A time when this world comes together as “One”, even as we maintain physical distance. A time for Humankind to understand that they need to stand together in Humanity, far above petty differences of caste, creed , religion in this fight for safety .
The roots are the same afterall .
Children of Mother Earth.
Just like the three protagonists of the film, Pragya Paroma and Prakriti, apparently leading different lives, come back to their roots , and realise that quintessentially they remain rooted. Wherever they are they will always carry Kolkata within them.

Honoured and privileged to present our beloved Poetryfilm
#KolkataCocktail directed by Shuvayu Bhattacharjee, starring Lopa Banerjee as Prakriti, Gopa Bhattacharjee as Paroma and I play the character of Pragya.

This short poetry film had premiered at ICCR in December last year and had two other special screenings in Millie Droog Cafe and Kolkata Centre for Creativity as well as private screenings in Kolkata and the US.

This is our tribute to our beloved city, our Kolkata in the format that we love ~ poetry.
This Poetryfilm is based on 3 short stories written by Lopa, Gopa and myself.
The short story written by me is called Petrichor and all the poems read by me in this film is from my book #OfLoveLongingandRandomPondering ( Available on Amazon.in)

While it is important that we stay at home during the lockdown, do take a virtual tour of the beautiful city of Kolkata through KolkataCocktail, home to so many of us , even though we may not physically be here.
